Dr. Pallavi Ray is a highly skilled ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma and cataract surgery, with a strong commitment to delivering excellence in patient care and clinical innovation. She has extensive expertise in advanced glaucoma diagnostics, surgical interventions, and medical management, ensuring the highest standards of treatment for her patients.
She completed her Fellowship in Glaucoma from the prestigious L.V. Prasad Eye Institute (2022–2025) and holds a DNB in Ophthalmology (2022). Dr. Ray earned her MS in Ophthalmology from MKCG Medical College, Berhampur University (2017–2020), and her MBBS from Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences, KIIT University (2009–2015).
Over the course of her career, Dr. Ray has successfully performed 2,000+ cataract surgeries (including phacoemulsification, SICS, premium IOLs, and secondary IOLs), 200+ trabeculectomies, 50+ MIGS/GATT procedures, and 30+ tube shunt surgeries. She also has extensive experience in laser procedures, with 3,000+ YAG iridotomies and capsulotomies to her credit. Her expertise further extends to ocular surface procedures, ocular trauma management, eyelid surgeries, medical retina, and community eye care.
Dr. Ray’s clinical journey includes her role as a Glaucoma Fellow at LVPEI (2022–2025) and Senior Resident at AIIMS Bhubaneswar (2021), where she managed complex cases in high-volume tertiary care settings.
She has a strong academic and research background, with multiple presentations at national and international ophthalmology conferences (AIOS, DOSCON, GSI, OSOS, ACOIN, Eastern India Zonal Ophthalmological Congress) and a peer-reviewed publication on visual prognosis of IOL implantation in traumatic cataract.
