DR. PRASHANT KUMAR

Dr. Prashant Kumar graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar in 2016. He went on to earn his Master of Surgery in Ophthalmology (MS) from M.G.M University, Kishanganj in 2022. Dr. Kumar received specialized training in phacoemulsification at Jupiter Netralaya, Mumbai.

He served as a Consultant at Apex Hospital, Varanasi, and contributed to Maitri Karuna Netralaya, a CSR initiative of JM Financial Foundation, Mumbai. Dr. Kumar’s expertise encompasses the diagnosis and management of various medical and emergency eye conditions, with a particular focus on phacoemulsification, refractive surgery, and Uveitis.

With a commendable track record, Dr. Kumar has successfully performed over 2000 cataract surgeries. In recognition of his outstanding performance, he received a certificate of appreciation for achieving the highest number of surgeries in the month of August 2023. His proficiency extends to procedures such as Phacoemulsification, MICS (Microincision Cataract Surgery), SICS (Small Incision Cataract Surgery), Pterygium excision with conjunctival limbal autograft, intravitreal injections, and the management of ocular trauma cases.
