DR. SABIN DHAKAL

Dr. Sabin Dhakal is an ophthalmologist trained at the prestigious Dr. Rajendra Prasad Center for Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India. He received merit scholarship from Indian Embassy for his undergraduate training (MBBS) from Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. During his academic years, he also received award of appreciation for outstanding academic performance in Ophthalmology. After MD, he continued his training further by specializing in Phacoemulsification, Refractive Surgery and Strabismus at ASG Eye Hospitals and has been working with ASG since then.
He specializes in topical phaco-emulsification technique of cataract surgery, complicated cataract surgery, refractive surgery including CLE, LASIK, ICL, Bioptics and strabismus. He has vast experience in multifocal and toric IOL implantation.

He was the first surgeon to implant PanOptix (Alcon, USA) IOL in Nepal and is a pioneer in modern premium IOL solution to cataract in Nepalese population.
Dr. Dhakal is registered with Delhi Medical Council (India) and Nepal Medical Council with medical license to practice in both countries. He is a member of Delhi Ophthalmic Society and Nepal Ophthalmic Society.
